Bio
A graduate in Film Scoring at the Berklee College of Music, Pierre Lemarchand has lived and worked in Boston, New York, Paris, Panama City and Buenos Aires.
After composing for a variety of features and documentaries in New York and Paris, Pierre created the collective Poles with a group of musician friends and produced their first record, "City Walls" in 2008. He then worked from 2007 to 2010 as senior composer for Paris-based documentary film house Zabriskie Prod, while also writing and producing music for projects as diverse as environmental summits, websites and iPhone apps.
In 2010-2011, drawn to the great outdoors and the activist world, Pierre worked in Panama with Earth Train, an NGO dedicated to creating educational, musical and bio-cultural ventures to inspire conservation efforts at the heart of the rainforest.
He now lives and composes music for images in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Music for Images
From motion pictures to web documentaries, theater sets to iPad apps, the unique relationship between music and modern imagery has never stopped growing.
Music accompanies and enhances the emotional response that visual media seek to provoke, adding a powerful extra layer to already compelling art forms.
Pierre does just that: picture, compose, play and produce music to accompany visual projects.
Geography
The increasing rapidity of information exchange across the globe allows a progressive delocalization of services. Videos and music can now travel in instants between any two places, and digital meetings can be considerably effective.
Don't let the distance intimidate you. Share your ideas and projects even if you are on the other side of the world.
